dbrozek
Hello ladies and gentlemen.I've visited this board every few years since its been here. Allow me to thank everyone and introduce myself as a fellow minidisc-discer....taper...er recorder...I have a MZ-R700 which I have used and its been great for lectures. I also used it to do sound design and field recording for several projects in college. And on the side, I took it to a few concerts and always got distorted recordings. Well, after learning that several fantastic bands are coming to town, I visited here again a week ago and learned about the radioshack attenuator. I also hope to build my own mics soon after finding plans from greenmachine. Thanks again I have the Radioshack 33-3028 stereo lapel mic that I've always used with my minidisc and have gotten impressive results, however, I think I should get some SP-TFB-2's.Does anyone else have this radioshack model and have any opinions on it? (It was pulled from stores in 2003)Heres the link for spec'shttp://support.radioshack.com/productinfo/...nes&Reuse=NSince the RS 33-3028 Freq res. is 30-18k and SP's are 20-20k, I'm guessing I will enjoy at least a mild improvement in sound quality. Does anyone have any other mics to suggest from other sites? I know Microphone Madness has a lifetime warranty on some of thier stuff. Thanks again! Thanks again!I can recommend SP-CMC-8(AT853U) cardioid mics from www.soundprofessionals.com .They are great with the low-sens-mod (offered by soundprofessionals) and a battery-box(9V or 12V) on line-in.I´m using the low-sens-modded sp-cmc-8(AT943) cardioids and DPA 4061 omnidrectionals.Been through 15mics during the last 18 month ....
