uberboot
ive been using the mz-m10 for about 9 months now. ive been happy with the results, outside of a few things (like the malkmus and the jicks show recording it as 138 tracks instead of one) anyways, i think the following might be its death blow---and ive only had it for 9 months! the sony warrenty wont cover it now, but i think the sam ash one willi can set everything i need to when i record. fast forward to the end of the show when committing it to disc. the unit displays "system file writing," but it never completes the job. it should only take a couple of minuets at most. i let it go for 15 and still had that "system file writing" i thought it was a dud disc, or bad batteries. so i changed both several times and i still get the same problem. it plays discs fine, transfers fine as well. but not being able to record is a big problem. this just happened tonight, and i was all set to go out and grab 3 diff bands at 3 diff venues over the next 24hrs. anyone ever see this, and can it be fixed?which other hi-md model is the same/better than the mz-m10? i need one pretty fast?thanksjoe Edited April 6, 2008 by uberboot
