Format your HD5 Hard Disk using main menu of HD5 First ..

Alos are you able to convert those Mp3 files to Atrac manually .

convert MP3 to Atrac

1.IN MY library of Sonin Stage

2.Select a file which you want to convert .

3.Right click on the file =>Then click on Convert ..then convert the file in the bit rate you like ..

I also having this problem with about 200 mp3 files .I can`t convert them to Atrac .I was able to convert those files to Atrac USING SSver3.0 .

But YOU can convert those track First convert those .mp3 files to .wav then import them into SonicStage .Then convert them to Atrac. .It is bug in SonicStage ver3.3 & up

i juz did an expirement. i juz want to know wat is the problem. at the moment i have nothing to lose expect time. since i have backup my programs and songs. i reformated my comp and install all my nessesary apps. than i install sonicstage 3.4 after reboot, i start the sonicstage 3.4 program. i juz pick a song from my drive and tried to convert to atrac format. the same error msg came. "cannot convert the specific Track Blah Blah Blah" i juz don't know wat is the problem. i downloaded the ss3.4 web installer from sony ap site. now i am thinking should i get the ss3.4 from other region sites.

i tried to look into the cd that came with my HD5. it contain some setup reg programs in the common folder and sonicstage folder. i am wondering, does the sonicstage requires some reg setup files to be install inorder songs to be converted to atrac format ? i juz wrote and email to sony abt the problem that i am having. juz crossing my fingers. they have not reply yet. i hope they will give me a solution.
