it seems that, some atrac3plus rate is not supported by hd5. is it true ? it seems atrac3plus 128 kps is not supported.

thanks.

That's correct - this has been discussed before. The NW-HD5 does not support ATRAC3plus 128kbps. Among the ATRAC3plus bit rates (320kbps, 352kbps, 256kbps, 192kbps, 160kbps, 128kbps, 96kbps, 64kbps and 48kbps) only the ones in bold are useable by the NW-HD5.

if our friends still having problems and they depend on ac3filter. this solution might help.

i extract this from minidisc.org forum

Ok guys I registered only to help you cuz I resolved the problem .

Anyway the reason for which you cannot transfer files is quite simple - AC3filter takesover the mp3 stream and SonicStage cannot transfer the files and convert them.

So here is what you should do:

1. Run AC3filter Config (you might have installed AC3filter with a codec package to watch movies or smth).

2. There will be a "warning". Click on OK.

3. Go to "System" tab.

4. In "Filter merit" choose "Prefer other decoder" (default was "Prefer AC3filter").

5. Click on "Apply".

6. Close the app.

7. Restart SonicStage.

8. Voila!

It should work - anyway it worked for me . It is also possible that another codec smth application has a conflict with it (if you have not AC3filter) - if so uninstall it. If you're not sure if you have AC3filter installed on your system check it in the app list in the Windows control panel.

Hope this helps .
