Nightdiverphil
I have a tricky problem and it seems too easy to be a problem, but it really is one...My new MZ-M200 HI-MD recorder arrived yesterday. The battery cover fell apart in my hands - the whole side of the MD is off and broken....vendor gave me SONY's contact number, SONY says they'll mail me a new one - so far so good. The problem is that:1.) I don't see a way of re-attaching a new one .....and2.) the original problem that it wouldn't open at all.The original plastic cover is in 2 pieces and runs the length of that side of the recorder. Can this be done, and is it going to be counter-intuitive, like it's removal was?Any assistance will be appreciated greatly - thank you very much. phil

I' glad that the MZ RH1 is still marketed by Sony , as a high quality recorder, which it is, really. This post makes me think of the weakest point of the unit, the battery cover. I have several batteries and have often to exchange it. The battery cover is a little piece of plastic, if broken (or wears out) the unit is non-useable. So, is it possible to buy from Sony a spare battery cover ? If so, does anyone know the P/N, address, ...Thanks

If they have a replacement battery cover for me, then they may sell them also. Good luck.phil
