Sony Hi MD MZ-NH1 Problem?

Hi Just bought this player for xmas, and already its broken. The MD player was jammed and I couldnt eject anything when I eventually got it open, theres a clip pointing down I think the one that pushes back the metal bit on the MD. So when I insert a disc now it doesnt load, and its an effort to get it in.

Does anyone know what I can do?

Many Thanks

Sounds like an MD was put in backwards and forced, if there is a Sony repair centre near you I would take it there, there are a lot of small bits in there, and very easy to mess up.

Good luck,

Bob

I mean it was the 2nd time I used it and the disc went in the right way. I recorded and this worked fine, and then nothing.

Yeah will see about going to a service centre.

Thanks

Sometimes if the unit is writing to the disc it locks the door so the disc can't be removed, it sometimes takes a while, could be what happened to you. if it happens again, take the battery out, then try to remove the disc.

Could just be bad luck too, hope you get it fixed.

Yeah I think thats what happened, plus I found out I had the battery in the wrong way. I managed with small scissors to push up this clip that had fallen down and it worked again. I think I need to change the battery. Have to check if the recording function still works.

Thanks for all your help.
