Cannot upload to NW-405 using SonicStage

hey recently i bought a sony nw-405 and i tried to delete all the music that i put on it. well i tried to delete the music like i usualy do in sonicstage but it just froze the application and didn't do anything. so i went into windows explorer and formated the disk using windows.. well that did remove all the music on it but now i can't upload music to it using sonicstage. i read some articles on this forum and it said not to format using windows explorer.. so i am a little worried i cannot fix this problem. is there a way to fix it without having to take it back to the store or paying $$ to get it fixed?

1.)Press Search.menu button for half a second .

2.)In Main Menu ->Use Shuttle to select Advanced Menu ->Enter Advanced Menu ->Then Select Format Option-Then format your player

yep i've already done that but it still does not work.. i get this error all the time

Which Version of SonicStage are you using ??

SonicStage ver3.4 is recommended .

Did you make any back-up using "SonicStage Backup Tool"??
