rrdawson Posted June 25, 2009 Report Share Posted June 25, 2009 I'm back again. I purchased an MD Data disc to replace my old minidisc that I was using but nothing has changed. I really hope I just don't know what I'm doing as opposed to having a defective unit from eBay. I downloaded the manual and it seems pretty simple but I'm not getting anything to record. If I have my guitar plugged into the unit I get sound levels and everything seems fine. When I select a track (1) and press record I do not see any sound levels being displayed on the unit, although I can still hear it and the timecode counts fine. When I press stop the track starts over but there is no audio and no sound levels are being displayed when I press play. Also the timecode is not consistent. It will go to 3 seconds and hold there for a couple of seconds and jump to 6 seconds or whatever and that's exactly what it did when I was using my old 2-track minidisc. I have NO IDEA what's going on here and I feel like I've been over the user manual a hundred times. Do I just need some basic step-by-step instructions or did I buy a malfunctioning unit?
