Some of you may remember introduction of the movie Hancock to those with Bravia Internet Video Links last year, where Sony offered the release of the movie exclusively to owners of the above device (DMX-NV1) before it officially hit the DVD and Blu-ray release. This year Sony is throwing another hit – animated cartoon Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs that generated a good revenue in box office sales. If you are about to buy Bravia Network TV, like W5100, Z5100, XBR9 (32″ model excluded) and XBR10 series, or pick up a Blu-ray player that also features BIVL like BDP-N460 – you will be one of the lucky ones to view this cartoon for free ($24.99 value)starting December 8th through January 4th, 2010. Current owners of those products will have to pay unfortunately…(come on Sony, hook us up half-price or something!). Last year success with Hancock generated more sales, so Sony is hoping for similar results and will be glad to stream 720p HD cartoon to your homes.
