or099
hi guys,i am an owner of the NWA - 1000 6GB walkman. have recently installed sonicstage 3.4 for connect, and also updated my connect player to version 1.0.04 (europe release). i have used sonicstage to copy music onto the mp3 player and it works well except that the top 100, and favourite shuffle features are disabled now (this is due to sonicstage not having full compatibility with NWA - 1000).OK, with the above explained, i am able to ask the question... after successfuly copying music from sonicstage 3.4 to the player (and the top 100, and favourite shuffle options being disabled with a msg saying "connect compliant software") i am lead to believe that i need to connect my player to connect player (version 1.0.04) in order to restore these features... NOW this is where the problem occurs.... when i plug the NWA - 1000 into the computer, and load up connect player (version 1.0.04) it displays a msg saying "the portable device failed to initialize and cannot be used" *error code: 82040307*.the device is not recognized by connect player, and it seems that this is after copying music files from sonicstage (version 3.4) onto the mp3 player. has anyone experienced this problem or knows the answer?your help would be much appreciated.thanksoli
Guest Stuge
Welcome to Atraclife !Please don`t double post .SonicStage ver3.4 is not fully compatible with A-series .To utilize features such as artist link etc you will need to use Connect player .Also since you have used your player with SOnicStage then you will have to format your device .In order to use it again with Connect

metal
The format option should be found in your player, and yes it will erase all tracks in it.
