McGortsy
Hello! I always use my Sony MZ-N707 when I take the sound from the soundbord when I film concerts. Last weekend I first tried it a few seconds at the bands soundcheck before the concert just to check that everything worked fine. When the concert started I put the md in recording mode and started recording. Everything looked fine. After the concert I ended the recording and the display said "TOC...." and I waited for the text to dissapear. Which it never did. After a couple of hours I switched the machine off, because it seemed like nothing was about to happen anyway. When I try to play the tracks, the md only show the two tracks I recorded as a test at the soundcheck. So my question is: is my recording of the concert gone, or is it anyway of saving it? I know for sure that the md stood in recording mode the whole concert. Very thankful for any help. Cheers / Ragnar
NickyJay
You should eject the disc every time you finish a recording, that way the TOC will be sure to be updated. Try ejecting the disc then reinserting it, you never know the tracks may turn up. If the tracks do not show there is a company in the UK called EDL who have special software that can retrieve the data as long as you don't record on the MD again. TOC cloning may also be used if the person knows what they are doing.
philippeb
TOC cloning may also be used if the person knows what they are doing. Ragnar has contacted me yesterday. I will try to restore his disc with TOC cloning.
