i have a weird issue with digital sound that has been fine since xmas.
used it yesterday without an issue but today when i turned it on there was no sound unless you turned the volume really hi, and it was fuzzy and muted.
i tried with the wii (composite cable) dvd player (composite cable) and bd player (optical cable) and all did the same thing. the wii and dvd player have the sound field set to cinema sound ex to make use of pro logic and the bd player is on AFD. the test tone didnt work either.
i thought, must be an issue with either input or output.
but heres the kicker. when i selected "analog direct" as the sound field for the dvd or the wii, it works fine. so that rules out the input/output/speaker theory.
ive gone all thru the settings and cant find anything. anyone have any ideas?
