Auto rating and Sonic Stage 4.3

I've recently started using Sonic Stage 4.3 to listen to LP2 tracks on my laptop and I can't figure out how the auto rating feature works. The only thing I've learned so far is that if you skip a track in the first few seconds it reduces the rating from 3 stars to 2 stars.

If anyone has information on how this works I'd really like to know. I can't find anything here or on the internet so I thought I'd give the forum a try.
