I'm trying to recover erased audio recorded on an MZ-N707 and my deck is an MDS-E12. Can anyone tell me how to place the deck in test (service) mode? Much appreciated. Gerry On many Sony MD decks (at least the ones I have), you enter Service Mode pretty much as noted on P.4 of the MDS-JB940 Service Manual, which is here: http://minidisc.org/manuals/sony/service/sony_MDS-JB940_service_manual.pdf I do not know if this procedure will work on the MDS-E12 and even if it does, you have to take care once you're in there.
