NW-A3000 Firmware Worries

Hey all,

Was about to upgrade to 2.01 but my player is ver 1.00 and not 1.01. Normally I wouldn't really care, but SONY go out of their way to state "This firmware update is only for the NW-A3000 Network Walkman™ Portable Audio Player with firmware version is 1.01" and that has me a little concerned. Anyone safely gone from 1.00 to 2.01? Or is there aynwhere I can get a 1.00 to 1.01 update?

Is .wma the only update with the new firmware?

I haven't bothered to update, since that is the only difference I can spot.

You might want to wait a few days, as a new firmware is due very soon...

Firmware ver2.1 will only allow to use WMA(non drm) files as well..New firmware (will be released on 25th May ) will allow you to use AAC(non drm ) files in your newtwork walkman
