NW-A1000 Faster With CP Or SS4?

Hey, just wanted to know if my nw-a1000 will operate faster with CP or SS4?

This is because i have experienced a very dramatic speed change with the new firmware and now it takes about 12 seconds to load and navigating from menu to menu takes about 1-2 seconds.

Would initialising the player do the trick?
