soprano_1
Long time minidisc.org member here... Briefly: Computer hard drive crashed, and some recent live recordings (HI-MD recordings to Atrac3+: microphone line-in/battery box) of some really stellar performances of my band had not yet been properly "de-DRM'd", but had been saved in my previous/last week's hard drive backup. Complicating matters is my almost six year-old MZ-M100 has now gone "belly-up", so re-importing is not possible. SonicStage imports the "back-up" .oma's but - since they're not .OMA's - looks for "rights" information, and thusly this music will neither play nor convert. Reading the various posts here regarding Linux, and going to the website https://wiki.physik....doku.php#status, it seems as if it might be possible to: 1) play these recordings using VLAN (so I could capture the audio output in real-time), or 2) decrypt these files sometime in the near future. *** Is there any hope for these files, or should I just delete? *** Your input is most appreciated... thank you! p.s. greetings to all original minidisc.org forum members! paperclip
If you can use VLC to play the files, I think that is going to be your only option.
