Question

Hello,

so I have this strange problem. Suddenly the image on my vaio disappeared. I can still see a very dark image when I approach a light source to the screen but that's all. I have tested the inverter and the LCD and both of them works fine.

I have tested the input voltages and I got these readings:

PIN 1: 19V

PIN 2: 19V

PIN 3: 0.23 V

PIN 4: 3.3 V

PIN 5: 0 V

PIN 6: 0 V

I did some research and I found out that trough PIN 4 is controlled the brightness (when i set it to min I get around 0.7V) so I guess that trough PIN 3 the inverter gets the command to light up the LCD screen. And I think that something went wrong because judging on the low voltage there, right now it is set on turning off the LCD.

Did anybody deal with such a situation and have a fix to help me?

Thanks.

Tony
