Hi,

I'm very new to this so please bear with me. This is the 1st MP3 player I have had and I have to admit, I am not the most technological person ever!

We bought the Sony A-1000 last weekend and I then spent every hour of the weekend trying to get any music onto the player at all. We upgraded explorer, downloaded the upgrade of connect and still nothing.

This thread would go on too long if I tried to explain all the problems we've had this week but suffice to say on Saturday morning I un-installed Connect & downloaded Sonic Stage CP4. As we are on dial up, this took around 4 x hours. I then tried to upgrade the firmware as suggested & did this 3 times. My A-1000 settings stilkl shows Version 2.50 rather 3.00 but I can only hope this has nothing to do with it.

My problem is, I have managed to get around 45 tracks onto the player, at 2MB each or so, and now when I try to transfer anything, the little box at the top goes from "5.4GB Free" to "0.00GB" free and then comes up with a box saying device full so cannot transfer. I have checked the device through my computer & properties & it still says 5.4GB free but sonicstage is insisting it is full.

Also, while i'm on here, could anyone tell me how to delete off the device but not out of my library? Do I just order the song to the trash can on teh device & then when it hooks up, it will delete it?

I even ordered the speakers at the time as this was bought specifically for a holiday I go on in 2 x weeks but at this rate, we'll be stuck with the wind up radio again!! Any help at all would be amazing!

Thanks for your time guys.
