Question

Hi All,

I have an old XB33K Sony Audio System which I picked up in 1999. The double deck tapes & CD changer aren't of any use now. But I was a huge fan of the sound quality which I used to get from it then. Lately,  I tried hooking up my phone through a normal "audio in" cable & tried to play it in the Video & Phono modes. The phono mode just made a huge distortion noise while I hit success with the video. However,  the sound quality appears muffled & not clear. Can another please help?
