What format do I need my MDLP Minidiscs to be in to be compatible with all MD Players

My old MD Player is a MZ-N710. However, I just bought a nicer looking and slightly older R-37 model. It doesn’t seem to be compatible with MDLP. 

I use sonicstage on my Windows machine to make my MiniDisc albums so I was just wondering what format do I need to have them in when burning to make them play on my older machine. Otherwise its just silence through the speakers

Use SP transfer mode from Sonicstage, which can be found under Transfer settings (with an appropriate note). This method will give you fake SP - something like LP2 quality, but will play back on the R37.
