Sony supports iTunes over Connect?

so as an avid sony fan, i got an email saying that Connect Canada is launched- and i got a code for 20 songs 1/2 off (songs only, not whole albums). And CONNECT has been pushing the kinds of exclusives that you can download from the site- which don't actually seem exclusive, just exclusively "set" (like they choose any 30 songs and call it a set? correct me if i'm wrong)

my biggest beef? Looking at Casino Royale 007 soundtrack online, the actual CD gets you 25 tracks- and it gets you 13 bonus tracks on iTunes, or you can download all 38 tracks on iTunes for the price of one album. But if you buy the album on CONNECT, or even the individual songs, you never can actually find the iTunes exclusive 13 tracks.

am i crazy? i thought paying a premium or getting it directly from Sony actually gets you something special. like in the old shopsonymusic.ca days, if you're a PULSE member they sent you a CD for your birthday and you get to buy cds at discounts when there are special events. but now, i can't even get the all the tracks off album. in my opinion, Connect really gives the loyal customers the boot.

what do u guys think?

Bottom line for any company (in this case, the recording label) is profit. Which one has greatest marketshare, iTunes or Connect? iPod or Walkman? The recording company simply tries to satisfy and profit from the greater market share. Why bother putting extra effort in releasing bonus tracks in Connect, when you know that not many people even knows about Connect. Alas, even Sony Music is killing its own mothership.
