First of all hello to all and congratulations, this is a very nice and useful site :)

Do you folks know something about the NW-A1000 / 3000 being discontinued? Cause the prices are as low as low-fat, I've seen the NW-A3000 being offered for 129 Euros in a regular shop in Germany, and in the UK they even seem to have disappeared from the stores. It's as if the dealers would be clearing their stocks before the new models arrive, but on the other hand, one would expect any new models to be released the latest a couple of weeks before Christmas, which is more or less now. Or is it the NW-A1200 which will replace both the NW-A1000 and the NW-A3000? This would be very disappointing, cause the difference between the 1000 and the 1200 is not that huge. I'd really like to buy something with more than 20 Giga, but I don't want to buy the last NW-A3000 only to see a cool, new model being released 2 weeks later...

They have been discontinued, and several people I have discussed this with at Sony have said that they are "now focusing on smaller capacity players". So, I wouldnt hold out for a replacement unless you wish to use their new video player.

Its very irritating!
