gerry
Hi all.Since re-formatting my HDD I am unable to burn CD's with any version of SonicStage. The program installs OK, imports folders & CD's from both my DVD-RW & CD-RW drives, but when I open the Transfer option, the small window that would normally show the optical drives,as is displayed in the Music source options, is not displayed & a message saying "Device/Media not connected". Inserting a blank CD makes no difference.Sony Australia advised me to delete the existing version & reinstall, they also said to uninstall Nero InCD, which I did with no luck. They advised me to use Nero to burn MP3 CD's!!! What??I have tried reinstalling SS 5 times from their server (pain in the ass with 40Kbps connection!) & 3 times with the download of Version 4 from this site (thanks, much appreciated).I have followed the advise on this site regarding ffdshow & deleting all the remaining Sony folders & registry files. I tried reinstalling the original Version 2 from the CD with the same problem.I have previously had Slysofts AnyDVD & CloneDVD & DVD Shrink installed on my PC. I removed these & any remaining registry files on the chance that, as they are DRM defeating programs, Sony might not like them!! But there is no change. I have had all the same programs installed on my sons PC, which I removed & installed the SS Version 4 from your site & it works fine. I reinstalled the Slysoft programs on his PC & SonicStage works fine!!So I am at a loss!! Short of re-formatting the HDD again I don't know what else to try.Any advise would be greatly appreciated as I like the Atrac3 discs for my NE-D900.Great site, ThanksGerrySystem consists of;XP sp 2Athlon64 3200200GB HDD1GB RAMSamsung SH-W162C DVD-RWSony CRX230E CD_RWSonicStage 2.0, 4.0, 4.2No other programs running at the time
