Its now incapable of fully ripping CDs-It'll get to part way through and then greet me with the message 'An error has occurred while trying to preparing to import the disc. Please try again', followed by the number '00000415', after the which the proceeding message is 'Cannot read this cd, 00000013'. It even fails to rip CDs that I've been able to rip once before-well I've tried another CD that worked before, that has successfully ripped but I'm guessing that was because it was relatively short (<30mins). All other failed CDs were >45mins long, which I'm presuming is linked to the problem.My hardware is definitely up to scratch and nothing fundanetally has changed. The most recent change I did make was installing NET framework 2.0 and some other updates. Perhaps I should search here?Any advice? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Quannum Posted December 11, 2006 Author Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 I've just got a new notebook a few months ago (a HP nc8430) so I'm fairly certain that its not my optical drive that isn't up to scratch. Andi Posted December 22, 2006 Report Share Posted December 22, 2006 Since I use Sonicstage CP (Ver. 4.0 & Ver. 4.2) I have just the same problem. The errors I receive are 00000415 and 00000016. After importing a few songs these errors show up and I have to close Sonicstage and start it again. Then I can import again some songs...I haven't found a solution yet.
