winnie Posted December 26, 2006 Report Share Posted December 26, 2006 Hello guys.....i guess you`ve probably heard this before (sorry).I`ve just bought the NW A1200.I`ve followed the instructions for loading up the software....Sonicstage CP version 4.0.Wehn i plug in the player i get the message "USB device not recognised....etc".I`ve tried uninstalling and re-installing several times.....still the same.My ports are fine....i`ve checked.I`ve taken the player back and had it changed......still the same.I run windows xp (service pack 2).I did once get a message "The USB device plugged in to this computer has malfunctioned....etc".Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. giki Posted December 27, 2006 Report Share Posted December 27, 2006 Hi 1) Initialize the player.2) Install SS allover.Check if there are any leftovers in the docs and settings/application data/sony folders before installing SS.Also reboot the system.Then connect the player after installing SS.It should search for a HDD ATRAC DEVICE.also try installing it manually by searching and installing the device using the Personal Audio driver.Do make sure that the personal audio driver is installed proprerly alongwith sonicstage.
