wolfpit228
Hi there, I am hoping someone can help please.OK, so we already had SS installed on our pc, windows xp home . My bro was using the 30gig walkman. All was fine.I bought the NWA 1200 walkman yesterday and installed the disc., SS deleted all of his music and loaded mine. Fair enough. Then he tried to load his music on today and it wouldnt accept it, SS would just hang and crash. SO, he deleted as much of SS as he could, or knew of, then reinstalled it, apparently he did this a few times. After doing a system restore, we got SS working, then we got SS to 'work', but not actually import files, as it then would hang again, and close. Now - Im at a loss. I cannot get SS to re-install, with the disc, version 4.0 (we also tried installing from sony website). I deleted what I could and began again, although the OpenMG Secure Module 4.5.1 wont remove from the programs. This seems to be the only thing that wont remove. Is there a way to just wipe off SS etc and begin again? Please, I hope someone can help. I was hoping this would be better than ipod/itunes.Thanks so much in advance..
Ishiyoshi
Welcome to ATRACLife! To resolve your current predicament, reboot your Windows in SAFE mode and proceed to uninstall and reinstall SonicStage accordingly. If you can't uninstall SonicStage in Windows SAFE mode, run a registry cleaner such as CCleaner to remove any remnants of SonicStage registry that may be impeding the uninstallation process; and attempt the reinstallation process once again. Good luck and report back.
