cyclops
Hi folks...new to the board here...got a problem I'm about to lose it over. I posted over in the NW-E00x mp3 file manager thread, and I actually did think I had fixed my problem, but it's still happening. To reapeat what my post there says, I'm running Windows 98SE, and I downloaded some drivers to get it to recognize my player, so it sees it fine and all that...yet, when I try to go to my removable E drive and click it to open it up, my screen goes black upon clicking it (kinda like, when your monitor clicks off, though mine remains on). I've tried a zillion drivers, moving files, reinstalling several times, etc. etc. And though, when I did reinstall, it would work for a little while (i.e., let me open the drive), whenever I would restart\shutdown, boom...same problem happens again. If anyone knows the TINIEST little thing to help, or, that is worth a shot trying, I would MEGA appreciate it....I am at my wits end. Thanks. I just did step two, bought a new E-machine pc with XP pre-installed, and now it opens it fine..my old computer was just on it's last legs I think and wasn't very good to begin with. So all is cool now.
