Ok, I am brand new here and need a little help. In January of this year I purchased a new Sony STRDA6400ES Receiver from Crutchfield. I have now have buzzing sound coming from the receiver after it has been powered up for a while. I have checked all connections to make sure there is not a grounded speaker cable, and all of the IC's and HDMI connections are nice and tight as well. I started noticing this about 3 weeks ago, and like I said earlier, it only does it after it has been on for about 30-40 minutes and does not stop until the unit is turned off and allowed to cool for a little while. I am suspecting the power transformer is bad. The buzzing does not come through the speakers, but is loud enough to hear with soft music, or when the TV is turned down low. I am a little disappointed in this as the ES line has a good reputation for quality. I reallize that electronics are delicate in nature, but after shelling out $2500 I am little peaved. Anyone have any ideas? I have contacted Sony, and they want me to ship it back to them so that they can try to figure it out. Anyone have any experience with their customer service? Thanks in advance for any ideas and comments.
