SONICSTAGE 4.3 CP ATRAC3 files

Question

Ok, recently I have gone in desperate search for a new NWA3000 HD5 player and now I can transfer the files to the player fine using either CONNECT Player or SonicStage 4.3 CP.

The only problem is I cannot transfer using SonicStage unless I leave the format of the tracks imported into my library as their original format..

As CONNECT Player is slow and unreliable, I would really like to be able to use SonicStage, I am trying to transfer the tracks as 66kb ATRAC3 files as this greatly prolongs the battery life of the player, increases speed and takes up about 3/4 less space on the players hard disk.. (without losing playback quality).

When I transfer files as this format (66kb ATRAC3) the player seems to close without any warning when its about a 3rd of the way through transferring.. which basically means I have to initialize the disk on the player and start again..(I can transfer as the original format with no problem whatsoever).

This has happened many times now, I have tried so many different things.. even freshly reformatting my laptop and reinstalling SonicStage.

I am attempting to transfer 3500 mp3 files as ATRAC3 66kb files.

Laptop specs are as follows:

HP Pavilion dv6152EU

AMD Turion 64mobile, 1.6ghz x 2

1022MB Ram

NVIDIA GeForce 7200 GO.

Windows XP Media Center

I would really like to take advantage of what I see to be a great Mp3 Player, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks alot.

MiKE.
