a806 eq problem

i bought a sony a806 last week ,to be honest ,i'm quite satisfied with the looks ,while i 'm disapointed with the eq adjusting problem ,no matter how i adjusted the equalizer ,i just can't get myself satisified ,coz there was annnoying hiss or kinda distortion long as i turned on the eq which is killing me ,anybody come across the same problem ?furthermre help me with it

Upgrade the firmware

Yes. There are more threads about this a8xx problem here. Read them. The firmware upgrade to 1.02 solves it.
