Legit HD1 battery?

Great price for a HD1 battery considering all other hd1 batteries go for $49+. But the low price makes me nervous, however the seller has 100% positive feedback and over 6000 feedbacks.

I'm just thinking of picking up a backup battery eventually, but does this one look legit? The very low price has me skeptical.

I purchased that exact battery from the same seller. All I can say is that it arrived in good shape and was sent quickly. I bought it as a backup, so it just sits in the packaging until one day when I'll need it. Sadly, it may be dead by the time that happens...

A battery can die by just sitting in a package?

I have read many places that Li Ion batteries degrade with time, independent of use. I have no personal knowledge or experience as to whether or not this is true.

I think that's only true after the battery has been activated. I don't think they drain just sitting in the packaging.

They start degrading from the time they are made.
