SONY VGF-AP1L - I've Killed it!

Question

Rather than using the sonic stage application to delete all the tracks on my VGF-AP1L I stupidly deleted the OMG files from the folders.

When I turn it on the tracks appear to still be there but don't play - then the whole thing just freezes.

Does anyone know how to restore factory settings or reset the thing?

Any help is gratefully received.

Cheers

Hi

Thanks for the response and picture - I have used the reset pin-hole and this unfreezes it (kind of) and enables me to turn it off but doesn't reset the whole thing.

I basically need it to back to it's original state when bought - before I messed it up!

Thanks again!

It should work. Try resetting again and you should be able to access the menu within your VAIO Pocket. Then proceed to initialize your unit by selecting "Settings" on the Main Menu screen and then select Initializations->Initialize Settings. Upon confirming the process, your VAIO Pocket will return to its original default factory condition. Good luck.

Hi guys.

I think I've killed my vaio pocket too.

I deleted some tracks on the player with sonicstage, and as usual when i take it off the dock the player will update itself.

However for some reason,my player is stuck at this stage. I pressed the reset button, and afterwards the backlight turned on but without anything on the display, just a white screen.

The button is not responsive, and there's a constant sound from the hard drive, but nothing happened,no music, nothing. It'll keep on lighting up and making the whirring sound until the battery runs out.I try resetting it again, but still nothing happened.
