verticalpoint
It seems that I've caught the end of this SonicStage as I purchased an NW A800 series Walkman during my trip to Japan. However, since I'm stuck with the program (and it works just fine for its main purpose), I've been trying to research the options related to the interface and so on, just so it might be a bit more of a pleasant experience. However, I have found it to be difficult to locate the folder which would house the skins for "Simple Mode" in SS 4.3. The skins that arrive with the program are less than exciting and I found some rather interesting ones on some Japanese websites for earlier versions of the program. Unfortunately, there are two factors that prevent me from getting any relevant information towards the location of supposed installation.1. The location that is directed to install the skins into usually refers to C://Program Files...Sony Corporation, which as I can remember when I installed the version in Japan there was such directory, however since I have U.S. XP, the directory setup for the program is different enough that whatever folder that is supposed to be located there does not exist.2. If not in program files, it is directed into the "Documents and Settings/All Users" in the main hard drive under Sonicstage/Skins. This folder also does not exist. Creating a folder to exist there is ignored by the program. (same in the instance above)I figured that the setup of directories in the newest SonicStage version would be different so I scoured for some sort of similar folder directory with no alas. Also, the skins are saved as .ojs files which seem unrecognizable to the program and do not support drag-and-drop or opening with SonicStage.Hopefully, all of this information will lead to some sort of conclusion. For now, at least I have a choice between a large, slightly greener-topped skin or a smaller dark blue-topped skin.Thank you for your help in advance. ceres
By default some app data folders are hidden in xp and vista. Check folder options to make sure that all folders are shown.Other than that, sorry no idea.
Avrin
The default skins for SS42 are in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sony Corporation\SonicStage\Skins". The OJS files are actually ZIP archives containing BMP files for the skin and an XML descriptor file.

It's funny really, I spent quite a while digging to the path by hand but your exact directory led me straight to the folder! Thank you so much!
