NW-HD1 dilemma

hey guys

just a quick question, the lcd on my HD1 was shattered when a chorded phone unit was dropped on it, i called up sony and ordered the replacement assembly, and i've installed it as in the manual, however the screen doesnt show anything when put into test mode or playback, i know its receiving power as the back light is on, but nothing on the screen itself.

any ideas or possible solutions?

edit:

i went through the manual and it seems that the mainboard itself also suffered some damage.

have replaced it and its working great! ... haha ^^
