Mac and Content Transfer

Can anyone tell me if you have to download the software that comes bundles with the new Sony X series. If so, is it compatible with the Mac OS X operating system?? I am new to the drag and drop way of doing things. And I have yet to transfer music to an MP3 player using the Mac. Any knowledge would be appreciated.

Just to load songs you dont have to use any s/w......plain drag-and-drop works...

looks like it works on mac too...thats what engadget says..
