ATRAC Ambitions Not Backed Up By Technology?

Given the size of the on going problems with Sonic Stage, OpenMG and ATRAC / Codecs (just look at the volume of postings in this forum alone) did SONY not expect this time bomb when they decided to put their name to their own flagship music management system?

I have been dealing with Sony Support through Club Viao (supposedly their premium product) since February and I have already been passed through three different on-line managers Nicholas, Harry and Justin, finally resorting to investigating the problem myself via this forum.

How can any technical problem be resolved when their is absolutely no continuity in service or personnel or when SONY have not apparently got the technology right.

Its not rocket science to know whether your deailing with the bank, your doctor or technology on which you have spent a few thousand pounds of your "hard earned" you want the same person every time to deal with your query.

SONY:If you cannot pay the wages to keep your people happy or give us (your paying customers) the support to fix a flawed platform them dump SS and ATRAC and lets get back to some old favourites like MP3.

When? SS for LISMO was launched February 1st 2008 - thats last month. If you mean simply closing the Connect Music Store then thats like apologising for giving me cancer three years after I was diagnosed terminally ill with a Viao laptop. As of March 2008, 8 au phones (manufactured by Sony Ericsson, Toshiba, Casio-Hitachi Mobile and Sanyo) will all support LISMO's ATRAC service....thats a bad secondary infection if you ask me and another time bomb for owners.

So here's todays news...

SS is an integral part of the Vaio product and has been for years and those of us who are members and who have put a lot of good money into SONY, Sonic Stage and the Mastering Studio need and expect a reliable fix for the years of cock ups caused and not the monkeys SONY has lined up on the support center phones to try and pasify us.

Vaio units sold since 1996 are still part of the present and the future and need to be sorted out at SONY's expense.
