Question

Hi.

I have an NWZ-A818

I ripped a mixed music box-set, 8 disk, but now i have 8 identical album art icons.

Is their a way to have all 8 under 1 album art icon, and have the 8 separate once you go inside.

When i sync to my sony mp3, I have all 8 icons mixed with all my other albums

It just looks like a right mess at the moment.

Thanks

John.

There's probably an easier way to do it (but I don't know how!). Use Mp3tag to correct the artwork (unless it's in WAV). You can use it to individualise each cover. If the 8 discs are separate (not lumped in together as one disc), then import the discs into mp3tag, and use 'extended tags' to delete all the existing covers. Then get the covers you want for each album, and again in extended tags, choose the covers you want and apply them to the tracks.

If the discs have all gone under one compilation, just highlight the tracks from each album and choose the artwork you want for each one. I've just spent a LOT of time with mp3tag trying to get rid of ancient artwork that was still embedded in the tags despite the fact the artwork wasn't even on my computer anymore!

I think there is another way but it would require that all songs have the same album name tag. Basically, it would involve tagging each file with the album cover that you wanted and then creating an album with a program like WalkmanMTP (yeah, shameless plug :) ) and changing the album art for the whole album to something else.

I think the player will display the album art for the whole album when browsing the albums but it will display the embedded art (if available) when actually playing the song
