groovygreg
Hi, sorry if this has been answered in a faq as it seems it has quite an obvious answer. Im a new guy and did check the faqs, this question should really be something taught in schools, its so basic. What do the letters I have seen after some minidisc recorder names mean? Eg I have seen ads (in uk websites) for Sharp MT899, MT899S, MT899S. They have similar prices, maybe they are the same? I have also seen advertised a MT20H, but the only reference I could find similar to it is a MT20, presumably this is similar. Surely some smart guy knows the answer, is it something trivial or does the letter S stand for sucks, letter H for horrible? Thanks very much Greg PS Sticky, what is that about? Mystyler
The letters after the number generally tell you the colour of the unit, and they can vary between manufactuers.
Bazirker
Sony recorders use different numbers to indicate what is coming with the unit. if you buy a sony MZ-R700, that's what you get. If you buy an MZ-R700PC, you get the stuff that comes with the MZ-R700 but you also get PC-link stuff. Or at least I think that's how it works. Frankly, I've never really found those letters to make a difference, but I guess it could in certain cases.
