dabass
I just got a Sharp MDSR-60 and everything seems to work fine recording with the AC adapter with a "line in" from a mixing board. When I recorded with a mic (Radio Shack Stero Mic 33-3028) and battery power (Fully Recharged) a problem occured . When playing it back I noticed that it cut out and resumed intermittingly during the recording. While playig it back I can see the time counter stall at the dropout spots. The unit was sitting on a table about 25 ft. from the band so I don't think vibration was a problem. The band was playing during the droup-outs, so it was not a "sync" function activating. Any Ideas ? Andy
See if you can test out the disc on another player. Since the timer stalls, it might just be a patch of the disc which was poorly written and can't be read back. Some players might be better at reading it back (stronger lasers/better lenses/whatever). If you find something which can read it back, make a new copy of it using that other player. Also, see if you can replicate the problem doing some recording that isn't as valuable
KJ_Palmer
The recorder can still pick up vibrations if it's on a hard table, and the band is loud, the recording heads are very sensitive to movement. Did you try damping the recorder, eg. in a soft bag or on a towel? That might help as your recorder seems to be functioning correctly.
