Guest Anonymous
The unit has a line in (optical). However, it looks like this connector socket could accept both optical and electrical cords for digitital input. The unit comes with optical cable only. Has anyone tried electrical cord inserted in the MX-N707? Also, alot of posts on going minidisc to PC with analog headphone jack to the PC. What is a good soundcard/software solution to take my microphone concerts back to the PC. My intention is to use sound files and burn a audio CD of a recital to distribute to friends. Thanks, km

Guest Anonymous
I can vouch that it can be used as optical and electrical. I have been using 'Goldwave' which you can download the program at www.download.com there are no restrictions on the program if you use it moderately (it counts the features you use and adds it up, and stops when it reaches 150). But it is a great shareware program to use without shelling money.
Guest Anonymous
The optical input can be used as a analog stereo input also. It will not take a coax digital signal. Hope this helps.
