Speed vs. pitch control on the MZ-N10

The N10 needs a firmware upgrade, so that the pitch lock can be disabled when ajdusting the speed (tempo). I would rather have the pitch scale up or down with the tempo adjustments, than having it stay constant. When the pitch is maintained when the tempo changes, the music sounds choppy and robotic.

I adjust the speed of my music, usually faster than normal, to maintain my pace when working out. My feet go with the beat. (My experience using wave editors and disc jockey equipment is that) Tempo changes without accompanying pitch changes sound fine for pure vocals, but sound crappy for percussions. I'd rather have Alvin & the Chipmunks than a sloppy, choppy-sounding drums.

Yes, but when I am trying to learn part of on of John Petrucci's many complex leads to utilize, myself, in a jam seccion I want the pitch to stay the same so that I can at least find it in one key to transpose it. 8)
