i just ot this md recorder and i'm still figuring out how it works. i went several times over the manual to set it for sync recording. appaently either i can§t read or it doesn't work. it doesn§t pause and wait for the source but it starts right away. i tried with both microphones and mini hi fi systems, in hope that with mini hi fi systems there will be no source signal before the source (music) actually starts.

please help

Sony portables don't have an analog input synchro-start recording feature, Sony synchro-start only works for digital input signals. Sharp portable recorders have had this feature from very early (since the MD-MS100). Why Sony cannot manage to implement this in their portables, I do not know.
