Guest Anonymous
Can anyone help me? I have a Panasonic SJ-MR220 MD portable recorder and I'm trying to record MP3's off my Toshiba 2140 CDS Win 98 SE laptop. I didn't get any software CD with my purchase. What kind of driver do I need for the USB connection? Does Sony even support this anymore? Frustrated with propriatary hardware.... teeiam
me
You don't need software for the MR220. It doesn't support netMD. Take a line cable (minijack to minijack), from laptops lineout/headphone out, to the MR220's line in. Press play on software player. Press record on MR220. And Sony never supported a Panasonic MR220
Guest Anonymous
uhhhh he's trying to use the usb-> optical out connection with his laptop. doesnt matter what MD he has. i'd poke around at sony's webpage for a while. they usually have driver downloads, but i'm not sure if they still support it. i'm looking at buying one of these links too, so i can hook up my MD to any computer to record. me
D'oh! I didn't think that there device needed drivers. The serial one I have with my PC1 doesn't need 'em, at any rate.. It's a xitel clone, the sony one. http://www.xitel.com/content/content_suppo...rtMDPDG2.htm#ip
Mystyler
I've got it, and you don't need drivers - plug 'n record.
