Guest Anonymous
the MZ-R50 i hear is resilient agains voltage fluctuations, but use a power adaptaer that is regulated power supply. i.e, voltage fluctuations are suppressed. These voltage fluctuations can destroy the power circuit of your MD. Also, take note of the power adaptors' current output. Which country do you live in? It depends on your mains' power supply. I live in Australia, and use 240V AC adaptor. I bought my MZ-R50 from Japan with a 110V AC adaptor. I contacted SONY Australia and requested a adaptor with the specifications. My adaptor is perfect for 5 years now and still works. Good luck.
Guest Anonymous
Also FYI, my Australian supplied SONY adaptor is not voltage regulated. The MZ-R50 is a very good MD recorder!
