Adding S-Link to older tabletop decks (510, 500, etc?)

Hello,

I know that Sony often left out S-Link support from American models of units, while provided it in Canadian and foreign models. I know there is some unpopulated areas inside the JE510 and JE500. Is it possible to add S-Link to these decks to get the remote titling working?

I refuse to dump another $400 on a new deck, that is 5 years late (keyboard support and a computer interface). I don't care about the LP modes. I would just like to be able to cue up a CD or MP3s from my odd music collection and dump it off to MD without having to go back and title it all.

I made a Coax input and added it to the deck, then started to detail the project and someone else posted the better methood on here (doh!). I'm wondering if the old decks couldn't be modded for Slink too...
