Guest Anonymous
I recently tried to record my band with my minidisc recorder (mz-n707) using the supplied headphones plugged into the mic jack. I was planning to check-in the recorded songs in order to edit them(adjust levels, add effects etc.) However, OpenMG will not allow me to check-in the songs as it thinks it has been recorded from another computer. This is evident by that strange icon next to the song title instead of the normal musical note symbol. Is there a way to transfer the songs to my PC when the songs have been recorded using the headphones plugged into the mic jack on the minidisc recorder? Thanks. Rob
OpenMG doesn't "check in" anything. It just resets a counter. It lets your computer know that you have erased one of your three allowed copies of a track that OpenMG sent to your recorder. To get your rehearsal tracks into your computer, connect the headphone output to the line input of your sound card. Play the audio on your recorder while using whatever progam you have to record to your hard drive from the sound board. Then save your money to get a decent mic. Guest Anonymous
goldwave.com has a program that will allow you to transfer you recording to your pc in wav format. Then I would use Cd Wave Editor to split the tracks or you will have one long track. YOu can get Cd Wave Editor at etree.org
Guest Anonymous
Thanks for your help guys, I actually prefer the use of Cool Edit 2000 as there are loads of editing features plus you can record songs and save them as mp3.
