Ziggy
To get out of service mode, you simply remove the adaptor, or battery. Whichever you are running the power from.
me
I seem to recall some recorders not wanting to leave service mode even if you DO remove the power source. In which case it's doomed.. I think that's most likely to be recorders with internal batteries though.
Guest Anonymous
Does the r-700 have an internal battery?the battery backed time-of-day clock hardware is missing .Would this means the r-700 does not have an internal battery? Hope so . Just got this unit. And lovin' it. By the way I did try remove the power source  More ideas? Still trying to bring it to back life.
