Bubuliciu
I want to adapt a car MD to 220v. I have an adapter 12V to 220V - 500mA. I've followed the wiring instructions (orange-power and black-earth). I have power but the MD is not switching on. Can anybody help me? Thank you in advance !!!!! Guest Anonymous
maybe i am a bit confused here, but if you are talking about the wiring harness from the 7900, orange would be illumination. constant battery (memory) power should be yellow and power controlled by accessory (ignition) switch should be red. the red and yellow wires out of the head units harness should be both attached to whatever is your power lead out of your converter, and the black lead out of the harness to graound from your converter. norrad
Guest Anonymous
i am not sure about it. but i think that the power supply 12 volt 0,5A won't be sufficient. i guess you will need at least 1-2 A in order to 'jump start' your radio. assumption: radio is wired properly. what is the max. audio output power of a 7900? maybe 4x 20 watts ? then you'll need 12 (13,8) volt 8 A (8x12=96 watts) + power loss... to let it play fine. hth seb
