Guest Anonymous
Actually I'm looking for a deck with: PS2 keyboard port Variable-Pitch Variable-speed (hopefully in 1% increment) Is there a feature comparison chart anywhere? I checked the 'Spec comparison' page here on Minidisc.org, which as far as I can tell links to a French only site. Seems like I found a page once thru Minidisc.org, or planetMinidisc that listed 'feature columns' with bullet indicating yes or no ... I'd sure like to find something like that -- new or discontinued! Anyway, I've done a little research and so far it looks like: Sony MDS-JB930: PS2 keyboard, variable pitch & variable speed! MXD-D5C (Minidisc & 5 CD changer): PS2 keyboard & variable pitch according But no speed control for Minidisc MDS JE 630: PS2 keyboard & Variable-Pitch No speed control Thanks, John
Mystyler
If the JB930 has variable pitch and speed, I would have thought that the JB940 and JB980 would too. The JE770 and JE780 also have variable pitch and PS/2 port, but I don't know about variable speed...
jamesdstark_
not many have variable speed without changing the pitch. The MDS-DRE1 has speed and pitch but no keyboard input. I hear the quality is bad when you change the speed on this unit, I don't know about the quality of other MD units with this feature. Another model is the MDS-E10/12 which I'm trying to get hold of, but its expensive. It has variable speed, PS2 input, and is 1U rackmountable. costs $467 new which is beyond my budget right now.
